Our "Robot Navigator Sync" Chrome extension is designed specifically to enhance the educational and research capabilities of our platform by allowing our AI to interact with the pages you browse.
Data We Access Through the Extension:
Our Commitment:
chat-robotics.com is a general-purpose consumer platform open to individual users including students (13+), tutors, and teachers. However, it is not certified for FERPA, HIPAA, or other regulated data compliance, and formal institutional deployment is not permitted. Do not upload unredacted student education records, protected health information, or any other regulated or legally protected data. All AI interactions are processed by third-party providers including Anthropic, Inc., OpenAI, LLC, and Google LLC.
For academic content that may contain student or personal identifiers, use the FERPA & Privacy Shield or Anonymize File tool available in Robot Navigator and File Manager. These tools automatically redact common identifiers (names, emails, student IDs, institution names), but may not catch everything. You must: (1) download and inspect the redacted content, (2) add any remaining names, emails, or entities to the Custom Redaction Keywords field, and (3) only then proceed with chat or file upload. You are solely responsible for ensuring anonymization is complete before submitting any academically sensitive content.
chatrobotics LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates chat-robotics.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our Service, or install the Robot Navigator Sync Chrome Extension.

We do not use your uploaded files or AI conversation content for AI model training or fine-tuning purposes on our end. User Responsibility for Uploaded Content: Users are solely responsible for ensuring they do not upload proprietary, confidential, or trade secret information to the Service. For academic content, use the FERPA & Privacy Shield or Anonymize File tools to redact identifiers before processing — but note these tools may not catch every instance. Always download and inspect redacted content and use the Custom Redaction Keywords field to remove anything that remains before proceeding to chat or upload. We do not insure or guarantee the confidentiality of content uploaded by users or of conversations held with AI models on the Service, which may be processed by third-party AI providers. If you upload sensitive information inadvertently, you should delete it immediately. You are also solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of your important files, as chatrobotics LLC is not liable for data loss due to accidental deletion, system failures, or service interruptions.
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:
When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Students aged 13 and over may register and use the Service as individual consumers. Tutors and teachers may use the Service personally, including creating educational content (such as subject-specific flashcards) and inviting students to register and use that content independently. Each user in such arrangements forms their own individual consumer relationship with chatrobotics LLC — no institutional relationship is created.
In compliance with California's Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA), we do not:
Formal institutional deployment of this Service — where a school, school district, or educational institution directs or administers use on behalf of enrolled students — is not supported or permitted. If you require an institutionally compliant solution, you must not use this Service for that purpose.
